Hotel El Aeropuerto in Guatemala City - it has a nice backyard, but the room was not in good condition. For instance, the ceiling fan was in bad shape.

Hostel 5 - pretty nice little hostel run by a very nice couple, and the breakfast was delicious.
4 Ave North #33. Tel: 502 7832 5462. We paid $8 for a 4-bed mixed dorm. Clean but room is a bit small. I do recommend however.
Homestay Mayan Experience - basic room, however, I do not recommend this place as the shower does not work at all. It was in pretty bad condition.
